Krista Foss is a writer whose first novel Smoke River was published by McClelland & Stewart in May 2014 and is shortlisted for the North American Hammett Prize for literary excellence in crime writing.

Her short fiction has been a finalist for the Journey Prize twice, as well as published in several literary journals.

She’s a Hamiltonian and mountain-biking mama with an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia.
