Graves of Bones That Do Not Make a Sound

Pablo Neruda famously once wrote of “graves full of bones that do not make a sound”, but his own bones may be telling a story, and a scientist is listening. Come on out Thursday night to hear researcher Debi Poiner from the Department of Anthropology at McMaster University share her passion for uncovering the past – solving mysteries through bones and archives to rewrite the histories we think we know.

She is equally as passionate about creating memories with her family through travel and being in nature.   She grew up on the west coast of California, has lived in Germany and France, and in 2003 moved to Hamilton with her family.
